New York Auto Show: Honda to debut CR inspired S2000

Honda released a short press release yesterday saying that it will debut a new club racer-inspired version of the Honda S2000. It said tha the Honda S2000 CR Prototype will take the car’s track-worthy performance to an entirely new level along with a new trim level and will be aggressively-tuned. The Honda S2000 CR will later go on sale in the fall of 2007.

How old is this car? It seems to me that this would be its third refresh.

It's not a refresh. It's a specially tuned version of the S2K. I'm thinking it's a special limited version before a restyling just like how Canada had the TL-Type S "A-Spec".
