Range Rover Sport gets ‘Leisure Car of the Year Award’
Land Rover’s Range Rover Sport won AXA’s ‘Leisure Car’ category of the 2006/2007 Car of the Year awards in Northern Ireland. Land Rover’s UK managing director John Edwards added: “The Range Rover Sport had a record sales year in the UK in 2006 and winning this award is a fantastic way to cap it off.

The Range Rover Sport comes in two engine sized including a 4.4 liter V8 engine that produces 300 horsepower and a 4.2 liter V8 supercharged engine that produces 390 horsepower. The base Range Rover Sport (4.4 liter) goes for an MSRP of $57,950 while the Range Rover Sport Supercharged (4.2 liter supercharged) goes for an MSRP of $71,250.

Although, that's not the award I'd give it.

I love the styling of this car, but I hear (via many publicized reports and through several I know who've had them) that it has more than its share of electrical gremlins, even worse than Mercedes' M and GL.
