REVIEW: The car with near-BMW panache?
G35. The car with near-BMW panache, the one that accounts for one-third of the brand's U.S. sales. Because it flat goes. Did then, does now.

Along narrow roads snaking tightly up and down hills around here, the G35 could maintain, ah, brisk momentum without straying from its own traffic lane.

Remarkably, that was in the all-wheel-drive version, the G35x. AWD cars, spurred hard, often have trouble keeping their front ends from drifting. Not the G35x. The AWD, in fact, seemed to stabilize the G and help it power around with confidence. Sure, there was that exciting moment involving wet leaves across the road. But a rear-drive model wouldn't have handled it better, perhaps worse. G's AWD system can shift up to 50% of power to either end, as conditions dictate.

I love the look of this as well. Very dramatic for a car its size.

I really like the new Infiniti G35, especially the new headlight. Very aggressive and sporty as well. I think it look so much better than the 3 Series.

hate the looks. but i have to admit, the G35 with AWD and 4 wheel active steer is quite impressive though expensive...

Funny infiniti updates there car almost completely and increase the price $800 over previous model. BMW ups the engine and increases the price $4000.

For the money couldn't ask for a better car then the G35x (now if they can put AWD in the coupe).

I like it, but I'm sad to say I liked the last-gen more.

Hopefully, the new G37 two-door will impress me. Old G35 coupe was the hottest two-door for under $40K, IMO.

Why was I de-boosted? For stating my opinion?

I really like Infiniti and I think they should make a performance brand along the lines of M, but I just don't love the new G35. Maybe it'll grow on me... but it's things like the chome lip in the back that turn me off.

001, here's something funny for you:

"G's AWD system can shift up to 50% of power to either end, as conditions dictate. "
Well, if it's up to 50% on either axis, doesn't that make it a permanent 50-50 since neither one can receive more than 50% (so therefore there is no transfer)?
I'm sure you meant something else, 001, but I couldn't stop my geeky impulse to point it out.

Btw., despite all the childish junk in the replies to the posted articles on your site, I still like to come here fairly often. You seem to have done a very good job of turning this into a proper business. Congrats!

S.

^^^ geek, jk. one thing they really screwed up on the car i think was the chose of mags. not ugly but dont go with the car. they shouldve used thicker spokes for the car.

Infiniti is definitely slowly working it's way up the sport luxury ranks. To be considered a true luxury rband, it needs a flagship. They need to totally redesign the Q45 the way they did the M.

I agree! They need a 7 Series competitor, but for less money than the LS.

I thought Infiniti announce last month or two months ago that they well bring the Q45 back.

Hey, I looked at the article. I hadn't actually clicked on it.

I haven't seen the new interior in any color besides black with aluminum trim yet... and then I saw beige with wood! What a huge improvement!

A family friend has an '04 G35 sedan in silver, well-equipped. Their interior looks vastly cheaper than this, and the wood is fake in their car, while it looks real here.

Props to Infiniti!
