Which cars lose the most value?
An average vehicle will retain 35% of its value after five years, according to Kelley, meaning that a $20,000 new car today will only be worth $7,000 after five years. But Kelley says a car with excellent residual value, such as a new Mini Cooper, will retain over 50% of its value after five years. To contrast that with the bottom of the pack, a Crown Victoria will hold only 22% of its original value after five years.

I think the Infiniti Q45 should be up there as well. I can right now get a 2005 Q45, a car that cost over 60K new for a little more that 30K just about anywhere. Mind you this is a great car, that just didn't sell. I plan on waiting a year and grabbing a low mileage, loaded Q45 for less than 30K. That car might be the best deal on the used car market today....

IMO you should also check out the Phaeton. Huge, unbelievably luxurious, stylish sedan. You can get an '05 for under $40K right now, with about 15K miles.

Is the Phaeton on there? The link took forever to load, so I just closed it before it was fully finished.

when someone comes to our location to look at a Mercedes or BMW, there are a few cars that I dread when have to tell them the value. Jaguars ( all of them ) Audi ( A8, A6 ) Infiniti ( Q45 ) Acura ( RL ) Cadillac ( ever car they offer especially the conv ) and any domestic high end truck available. That 0% financing about killed the used car market .
