SPYSHOT- 2009 BMW 1-Series coupe
So is this the much discussed 2009 BMW 1 Series coupe that could be headed for the U.S.? Well, it sure looks ready for production and the fact that it's getting what looks like a full on brochure quality photo shoot in the American southwest would seem to point in that direction as well.

What the 5 doors 1 series lacked in style, the 3 doors makes up for it, abundantly!!
I hope you guys in NA get it because europeans get it as soon as now... and we wouldn't want you missing on something like this

Why is BMW going downmarket in the U.S.? This will only hurt their image as a
prestige brand by comparing it in price to a less expensive VW.

it's still going to be $30k, which is what the 3-series started at a few years ago. That's not really "downmarket". Plus it gives BMW a car priced more like the Japanese competitors.

Size-wise E82 1-series coupe is something in-between E30 & E36 3er.

It looks good from the spy photo. Looks really nice with that paint too. IT doesn't look that small. It's almost comparable to the E46.
