GMC Acadia is for women

We’ve been seeing the Acadia out on the road a lot recently and it has always made us do a double-take due to its non-American styling. That was until we realized GM is marketing the new crossover at women. Rather than the tough GM commercials you see of the trucks and SUVs plowing through off-road terrain, the new GMC Acadia ad appeals to women.

The ad starts of with a whole jewelry coming out of a jewelry store, rooftop windows flying off a woman’s house, only to gather up somewhere on a rooftop to create a GMC Acadia. Check out the commercial above.

The GMC Acadia comes in a 3.6 liter V6 engine that produces 275 horsepower.

OK, the title of this article sucks...but grabs your attention.

I don't think the Acadia is 'for' women, per se. But I do think GMC is trying to increase exposure of the SUV to an audience that's usually overlooked by the 'rough & tumble' brands.

OK, the Acadia is nice-looking, has all kinds of features a mom (and pop) would need when traveling with children, but it's also pretty tough and ready for the average consumer wear-and-tear.

The title sucks, but it matches the quality of the writing. If you're gonna plagiarize, pick an author who has a good grasp on proper English.

Not an author, sorry. And sorry for my improper English in this reply. It was Steven Wright who was quoted and he (like me) couldn't care less what you think of his "grasp"...

this car is hideous. i do approve of the headlight definition and thats it. But it feels very boxy, not very friendly looking.

but I would NEVER buy that car even if it IS targeted towards my gender.

Maybe targeted to women in their late 30s to early 60s.

This is "soccer mom" and "old guy who works at the Library" material.

The Acadia is meant to replace the Envoy XL, and the majority of those were driven by women.
