Toyota Yaris SR launched in Europe
Toyota has launched its new Yaris variant in Europe the Toyota Yaris SR, a performance version of the popular compact car. The Toyota Yaris SR is powered by a 1.8 liter petrol engine with Dual VVT-i technology that produces 131 horsepower. For more performance from this little car Toyota gave it a sports-tuned steering and suspension along with a a striking body kit and 17-inch alloy wheels to make the design more aggressive.

The Toyota Yaris SR also features a rear roof spoiler, side skirts, chrome sports exhaust, LED tail lights and deeper front and rear bumpers, the front fitted with integrated fog lights. The interior is equipped with sports seats and an upholstery fabric that’s exclusive to the model. There’s also a leather trimmed steering wheel, chrome trim detailing and an amber-lit Optitron instrument display with analog read-outs.

Beyond the SR 1.8, Toyota is also introducing new SR versions of the Yaris, powered by the 1.3-litre VVT-i petrol and 1.4 D-4D 90 diesel engines.

This will give the Mini a run for the money.

Won't hold a candle to the European hot-hatches like the Renault Clio 197 and Mini Cooper S.

Both vastly superior driver's cars to the lacklustre Toyota offering.

People please dont reply to lexusmaniac. He is only here to start flamewars. In the begining I thought he was just blind by the L badge, but now I know hes just being stupid to piss of people so dont fall for his trick. I know how these kind of kids think... ignore him and he will leave.

It's a 131 hp supermini.
We're not taxed by horsepower in Europe.
It can't hold a candle to the Clio 197 or Corsa VXR.
It does 0-60 in 9 seconds. You are insanely stupid if you think it has 500 hp and can compete with an M5.

You should be banned for being so stupid. I sure as hell hope you are sterile.

This car would sell here in the US. We need a new round of hot hatches. Here's hoping the Scion xA fills this void, with a similar engine, and hopefully sporty suspension.

It's weird. But Americans don't like hatches and station wagons for some unknown reasons. Somehow, anything that isn't a SUV has to come with a trunk.

the only way that thing will stop a M5 is if it gets stuck in its intake...

'You should be banned for being so stupid'

I think he should be hanged for being that stupid

Till today there is no Toyota which can beat the mighty M5.

"i mean toyota lexus are my favorite and well always be my favorite"

Touching, I'm sure. However a sane person would have to wonder why anyone would idolise a mainsteam, boring car maker with un-exting models and design that isn't going to excite anyone.

Just because it does not excite you does not mean it cannot excite someone else. What a screwed-up view of the world you must have. I see that is a Saab in your profile picture, a brand in general lacking excitement nowadays.

Oh, so boring designs excite you?

There is a general consensus amongst the motoring industry and journalists that Toyota's are boring.

This is not one of those 'eye of the beholder' type scenarios.

Honestly, Toyota shouldn't "excite" anyone. Their cars are for the mainstream.

Avalon? Boring.

Camry? ZZZ...

Corolla? Most boring sedan on the road, probably.

Sequoia? Bland.

I could go on... but there's no reason to. Let's not start a catfight here, boys.
