A New Face For A British Icon> Jaguar XJ

The latest Jaguar XJ saloon has conservatively evolved and the last of the true double-headlamped of its kind. Sales of the current generation XJ have faltered with complaints that it was too similar with its predecessors series (1995-2002).

looks like they grafted an E46 M3 front bumper to the existing car. Doesn't look right.

they should have left it alone. it looked classy and stately. now with the sonar sensors and the headlight washer jets it looks like it's got pimples and the lower grill is smiling.

as much as i love a Jag, it doesn't have much to be smiling about these days.

Even though the current design looks very much like the predecessor this design is still classy and elegant. I wouldn't say it's less flash than it's counterparts but it's traditional British Luxury. I think the super V8 is up there in terms of luxury. I'm not too sure about quality but the interior looks great. In my opinion I think the Jaguar XJ is a much cheaper alternative to Bentley's and Rolls Royce. The interior wood placements are quite similar. The leather i can't speak for but the leather are of high grade.

Only con about this car is it's resale. That goes the same for all Jags.

I can attest to the depreciation. I recently picked up an '00 XJR for $10K... What a steal! 400HP + Luxury shouldn't come so cheap.

I think Jaguar did an outstanding job on the new XJ.

Time for steak & Kidney pie and a pint of John Courage.

Ian Callum said the refreshed XJ should have a "distincive" face. This is coming from the same man who has designed various Aston Martin models, the Jaguar XK, and the new Concept-XF.

At least design a better EXCUSE for your ugly front-end treatment!
