The hottest Aston Martin still yet to come?
Since the firm was taken over last week by a group of businessmen led by Prodrive chairman David Richards, boss Ulrich Bez has wasted no time in outlining his vision for the years ahead. As well as fast-tracking the development of models such as the DBS and four-door Rapide, Bez has hinted at a new flagship, codenamed DBX.

The DBX will be a Vanquish replacement? That sounds good to me. Aston Martin has to be my all-time favorite brand ever.

On week out and two new cars confirmed, go prodrive. Currently clearing a space in my garage for a poster of the DBX, Aston looks with SLR performance. Sounds Perfect.

funny how Aston showed their displeasure w/ their sale at a recent autoshow. they had to v8 vantages behind glass and no pr people. best of luck to Aston and prodrive, this announcement sounds very promising.

I have a V8 Vantage PDF brochure sitting on my XP Desktop to read anytime. My background is one of the sickest V8 Vantage photos from Motor Trend. Now if I can only convince the wife that one belongs in the Garage!

Your wife will probably want to renovate your house before even thinking of letting you get a car unfortunately lol...

But Go Prodrive for sure, happy with what they have expressed in such a short time, hope to be just as impressed when they reveal these new marks in the line.

Will, from my understanding, this will not be a Vanquish replacement so much as an entirely new flagship in a different segment. The DBS is to take the place of the Vanquish. This...this is a different animal althogether. Not to mention a far more expensive and exciting animal...

I believe Aston Martin maufactures the most beautiful cars in the world. I also welcome anything which would infuse some taste into people in general. Of course the caveat is that these cars are not for hoi polloi.

The next Bond film is due in fall 2008, so they have some time to get the new flagship in there.

Damn you Aston! Beautiful cars, just too expensive for me.

I got a promotion in the mail from Maserati, asking me to test drive a Quattroporte Automatic, and I'd get $300 Bose headphones for free.

I went to my local Maserati dealer yesterday, Lake Forest Sports Cars, and half of the dealer is devoted to Aston Martin. After driving the Q-Porte (which I was very impressed with), I took myself on a tour of the huge 80K sq. ft. facility. The Aston Martins were simply the most beautiful cars there... and there were other Quattroportes, Coupes/Spiders, Ferraris and even a Range Rover or two. They had two AM V8 Roadsters, which haven't been released yet (they're for a show), as well as a few DB9 Roadsters and a Vanquish. And there was just so much more. I was in Aston Martin heaven.

All I can say is, they can't make enough of these stunning cars.

god, seriously, screw bmw, screw mercedes benz, screw lexus, screw audi. nothing can compare to aston martin. no words need to be said, no words need to explain why i would spend 10s of thousands more for a "slower" car than say an R8 or a 911 turbo. even a baby aston would make me the happiest guy on earth. cant wait for the next bond film, i know jaguar is striving to improve like aston did, with design as the top priority. this is why we live right? this is why we strive for that high paying job. this is why we love cars...
