NEW YORK AUTO SHOW: Mercedes to launch new AMG model-We say its the C63

On April 4th, Mercedes AMG is set to reveal an all-new AMG model at the New York Auto Show. An anonymous reader sent us these images which are posted in the Mercedes AMG Private Lounge web site for AMG owners only. They don't reveal much, but look pretty sweet.

That's a CLS with a giant wing underneath the cloth in that picture. It must be a CLS 63 Black Edition or a CLS 65.

It would be logical to assume that, and most likely is that.

I just thought the silhouette looked more CLS than C.

Will is close. MB is going to introduce an EXTREMELY limited version of the CLK Black for the United States. I'm guessing that's what underneath the cover.

That makes sense after a third analysis of the picture. There's only one door handle popping up through the sheet, and no giant fender flares showing either.

You are absolutely right. It is definetly an AMG CLK Black eddition which will be losely based on the CLK DTM racing car.

On a side note, I just received an internal memo that confirms the launch of the R199 for end of calendar year 2007 delivery.
For those of you that aren't up on MB Baumuster codes, the R199 is the SLR Roadster!!
