Video Of The Day: Should Helmet Laws Be Mandatory?

Actually, the helmet might make the difference between an organ donor (no helmet) and a vegetable on life support (helmet). The vegetable is more expensive than the organ donor, who, in fact, is doing the rest of us a big favor.

I believe some transplant surgeons are only half-joking when they speak out against helmet laws. (Note: these guys are customers of the ER docs...)

In between the lines of Darwin’s theory is a helmet law. Police need not enforce it.

Not using a helmet is very much like not wearing a seatbelt. Very silly.

That seems bass-aackwards... The majority of people killed on motorcycles are hit by other cars, not the other way around. Seems silly to let the old lady who hit the cycler live and the strapping lad die. haha On the same note, those who choose not to wear a helmet with old ladies on the road... well, that is darwinism in action!
