Japanese Tuner Offers Uniqueness to the Lexus IS and LS
Buying a Lexus can be considered a sign of good taste as well as good financial situation (could both come together?) but in Japan this is certainly not the most original pick in a category dominated by the German manufacturers.

Hopefully a large number or tuning companies provide all sort of parts for every Japanese manufacturer to those who wish to stand out and give their car a personal touch. Now when it comes to Lexus, common sense would push customers towards a rather discrete and serious presentation unlike “M” for BMW, “AMG” for Mercedes or “S Line” for Audi…and when you are looking for this for your Lexus, you are looking for TOM’S.

If the IS-F looked like this, then I would like the car. I think this is a pretty nice aftermarket kit for the Is350.

An excellent integration and compliment to the IS and even the LS (follow the link in the article to the LS.

Combine this look and performance to back it up and the Germans will be in real trouble.

I have a feeling that if all they would have done visually to the IS-F would have been a lower body kit like what's on this i350 you'd have people saying how uninspired Lexus is.

As many of you aware, I am not a Lexus fan by any means, however I will point out where I feel they can improve.

While Lexus has eons to go to compete head to head with the Germans, it already has several factors in its favor. The pieces of the puzzle are there but not yet assembled. Styling is a major issue with them in the eyes of many German fans. A look like this would go a long way to quell that argument.

Now if they could stop trying to put those pesky square pegs in those round holes they actually may be able to match the Germans by 2015.

Just a matter of opinion. I scan many other sites and the Lexus centric sites typically hate the styling of the IS-F. The accessories looked tacked on. This exact image is currently floating around on these sites with very favorable comments. Probably becuase it is far more elegant.

not to mention, i HOPE you are not seriously comparing Pininfarina, a legendary luxury exotic auto designer with TOM's, a famous tune shop.

There is a BIG difference between designing automobile models and bolting bodykits on...get it straight.

Then again I haven't heard one logical or intelligent statement come out of your mouth since you have been on this site.

I think that looks good, understated and aggressive at the same time, much more in line with what a Lexus should look like than the IS-F is.

Ground effects and oversized rims, right..... That's what would make these cars appeal to German fanboys. The same fans that complain about Japanese "ricers, rice-rockets (whatever the current pejorative term is)." You all would hate this if it came from the factory. In all honesty the IS doesn't look bad, is the IS-F that looks weird with it's oversized bump on the hood and strange looking staggered tailpipes. I think double exhaust in the middle ala Boxster S, would have looked much better.

The criticism of the IS-F was, is, and will continue to be laughable, specially now after seeing that the new M3 will have a big bump on its hood and some weird detail going on around the exhaust area...the two main criticisms of the IS-F.

Pretty much agree with the consensus of the more rational people that regardless of what the IS-F looked like, most on this site would hate it.

I don't think Lexus was design for the German fanboys taste, if you know what I mean. It was created for a different group of auto ethusiast; who want both performance and luxury in one.

Hey everyone has different taste, if this is not your cup of tea than don't buy it. I think they did a very good job with it, especially, the Lexus LS.

lexar why are you lying, i bet you never been to japan or anywhaere near it, on the other han i've been to tokyo and there is a lot more lexus then MBs. But there are more MBs then bmw or audi.
