Ford to use Sony audio systems starting 2008

Ford and Sony announced today that they have teamed up to offer Sony audio systems across all Ford and Mercury brands starting in 2008. The move is a part of Ford’s strategy to offer signature technology features in its vehicles. In January, Ford and Microsoft announced Ford Sync, a voice-activated in-car communications and entertainment system for mobile phones and digital music players that will be available later this year.

Ford will debut the first vehicle equipped with Sony-branded audio will be unveiled April 4 at the New York Auto Show, which is expected to be the trendy Ford Edge.

um no "answer" the THX systems will stay since its a hit thats why only the Ford and Mercury models are getting Sony..well hey its a step forward to making better cars
