The G35 has never been a valid threat to the M3. Owners of the G35 coupe have been known to dump tens of thousands of dollars into their cars to make them track worthy. Even after this the cars are hardly competition for the M3.
BTW, I prefer the styling of the G35 but the performance of the M3.

Do you even now what kind of modifications you'll need to get the G35 at 12s 1/4 mile. People don't realise how hard it is to go from 13s to 12s, there's a shitload of work involved, it's not like you put on some bolt-ons to go from 17s to 16s. And performance is so much more than just straight line acceleration.

The G35 has alway been competition for the 3 series in performance but not in the sales department, well not for the time being. But to say a G37 can hang around an M3 is just ridiculous. I'm not saying the G37 is bad all i'm saying is the M3 is in a higher class. The GTR might be able to beat the M3 on a track but the G37 won't touch the M3.

Whatever i won't waste my time with this, but if you seriously thing a G37 will be able to play ball with the M3 on a track then you obviuosly haven't driven any of them. The G37 might be a tad better than the 335 but will not match an M3.
