No bonuses for GM executives

haha, oh thesailor, that was hilarious, i guess their 3% increase in sales in the most slow part of the year is also due to the poor economy of GM.

Maybe they are saving their money to buy Chrysler.

Well, to be perfectly honest, GM execs should count themselves lucky that they have a job. They have certainly not made the smartest business decisions.

At the core of the problem is that their cars are designed by accountants. On the plus side, this means that their profit margins on each car is phenomenally high and in theory would make them very profitable. But, given the quality, engineering and personalities of these cars, selling them is not that easy.

And GM still has virtually no presence in both, the emerging Asian markets as well as Europe. Their strategy for Asia and Europe is to rebadge Daewoos and Isuzus as Chevrolets and try and ride on the brand name Chevy developed due to the Corvette.

They have to start with building proper cars that are actually desirable which are somewhat profitable rather than building cars that simply have a high profit margin and then attempting to make them desirable.

IMO, GM is doing better than Ford and Chrysler. I'm not going to get into why, because I've made numerous posts on the topic, but they are.

Good- smarter than the lazy-@ss Chrysler execs getting bonuses. They sit around and say, "Hmm, how can we re-badge the Dodge Caliber? What should it be called as a Jeep? A different Dodge? A Chrysler? A Maybach?"
