700hp Land Rover ARMYGEDDON!
Australia’s Summernats car show has some unique performance vehicles for sure, but none can match the Australian Army’s Land Rover Armygeddon six-wheeled hotrod. It was built by the Australian Army at a cost of $350,000 and is used to attract new recruits. Performance comes from a 7.0L Chevrolet V8 that delivers a thundering 700hp! Extensive modifications to the drivetrain and suspension were required and trade trainees also built the custom rear tray. This is the third year the Australian Army has participated in Summernats and for 2007 the Armygeddon was sporting a new camouflage paint job.....

I presume this is in USD. That is a lot of money for that power, I would expect more than that. Pretty cool, they should use those in armies.

Just a quick note to set the record straight. the total cost of the project for the build wa $350 000 AUD. We took 1m out of the chassis too reduce the length and all work was done by Army tradesmen and Starr guys. The only work we did not get involved with was the engine build, mainly due to warranty issues. The vehicle is fully tuned and maintained by Army tradesmen.
