Photo Rendering: BMW 1-Series Coupe

This is what the BMW 1-Series will look like. How can we be so sure? Well, because it’s a rendering by AutoBild. AutoBild renderings in the past have been proven to be very close to production models for many cars including their rendition of the 2008 Mercedes-Benz C-Class (which was made two years before the official launch). After seeing this, we’re not as disappointed about the hatchback not coming to the U.S.

The 1-Series coupe is expected to debut this Summer with sales to begin 2008. BMW will also launch a 3.0 liter six-cylinder that produces 265 horsepower.

Sailor... we in Europe are getting it by the beginning of 2008 (probably for the Geneva show!) and i even read this model will be the first of the 1 series to get the twin-turbo 3.0L or the 3,246cc, and that it may even be called the 2 series (together with the upcoming cabrio)
anyway i still prefer the 3 door hatchback, and i hope they will give it a 135sd variant

Yeh, i agree. I think Ive heard about its (1 series) debut in North America. Anyways, I don't care if my brotherly car wants to challenge me coz, M6 will REIGN!!!

Because in the past hatchbacks have done poorly over here, however the Audi A3 seems to be holding their own.

It's too true!

When I was in L.A. this week, you wouldn't believe how many dark gray A3s I saw!

LA citizens, can you back me on this? Maybe it's just a Santa Monica thing, but the gray A3s were never-ending. It was creepy. Some with S-Line, some without, but I saw at least three a day, with a few other colors sprinkled in between.

There's no chance in Hell that some were the same people... LA is too large for that to be possible.

Gray A3s are just super popular, I guess.

I live in LA its true about the grey A3's that's all I see. The hatch is a great car, but I still think this will sell better.

I actually own an A3, and I can tell you it's amazing.

What do you base your prediction on? The BMW badge?
