43LE, I'd say that some of the people calling this car "uninteresting" (myself among them) are just disappointed in the poor redesign on Infiniti's part. Sure, the lines are very similar to the last generation... but somehow, the last-gen still looked better. Better light clusters (especially the rears), better grille, better flow of the body. I'd have the G35 coupe over this G37.

Well, we're on different terms, because I LOVED the old G35 coupe. Sexiest coupe for under $50K, bar none. This new one just doesn't excite me as much. Maybe when I see it on the road, it'll change my mind.

But I can't be sure, because I don't love the new G sedan, either...

s4,

It sounds like you, like myself were looking for a bit more edge and a bit less lexus/mercedes action going on in the new g37.

At least that is how I might describe the path they have taken.

I wanted them to firm up, and carve some of the surfaces, and instead they blended, smoothed, and connected them. Which isn't bad as you can tell people still love the car, and I feel its still hot.

Josh

I agree with you that it resembles the Altima a lot but I think it's the Altima looking like the G. I love the looks of this new redesign it looks like the luxury coupe it should be. The lines are more refined than the outgoing as well. Performance has been improved. The interior pieces looks like they are of higher quality as well.

How do you figure this is a review? This is just Infiniti propaganda, rehashed.

THis is the car to launch Infiniti in Europe.
I think it will do better than Lexus (launching with a coupe is a good idea), but will still flop, too expensive.
35000 pounds over here for a G37 coupe, that's nearly 70000 dollars. A 335i is less money (although not as well equipped)

If there was a smaller engine (ie 2.5) it would do better.

There is no way it would be £35,000. It would be closer to £30,000. Isn't that more like $55,000?

nope, I've seen the estimated prices, it was in one of the weekend motoring supplements. 35000-ish for a G37. For some reason they think people would rather spend their money on an expensive car they've never heard of than a 335.

I guess when you don't have a chance to test drive or actually see the car for yourself, you post this whiny pathetic crap. What a waste of time reading this garbage.
