Hyundai Says to Unachievers Get Going or Get Out!

Hyundai has put the word out to 50 underperforming dealers - shape up within six months or ship out. Strongly worded letters have gone out to "chronic underachievers," says Hyundai Motor America COO Steve Wilhite. "We've said: 'Guys we can't accept this,' " Wilhite told Automotive News at a press event in California. The letters went out during the past two months.

As a x car dealer if you are given product that is a hard sell then maybe the corp should take a little of its own advice?

Hey, it is only 50 dealerships that are not pulling their weight out of a few hundred at least. I say it is good business to tell them to match the performance of their counterparts or get fired. You can't bitch about the product being crappy when other dealers are selling them without so many problems.

I thought Hyundai was selling more cars than ever in the US...hmm. You guys do realize that Hyundai has some of the highest ranked cars in quality on the market don't you? I mean, I can't believe it myself but its true. They are making nice, everyday cars. I'd take a Sonata over a Camry anyday, especially for the price.
