Shanghai Auto Show to Be the Back Drop for New BMW Z9 Concept
Automotive News is reporting BMW is choosing the Shanghai Auto Show as the back drop for a concept car that will the Z9 badge.

The suggest target for the new Z9 is approximately $100,000 a market place that has become increasingly crowded.

We would assume the Z9 base model would be equipped with the standard M5 500hp V10, and the possibility of a V12 option.

They won't call it the Z9, they already built one and it was relatively unsuccessful. If this is the rumored Z6 Merc SL fighter, its going to have a lot of competition from Aston Martin, Porsche, Audi, and of course Mercedes. I doubt this will be the supercar that BMW is supposedly building, that will be more expensive and have a higher tuned V10.

Will this be an R8-fighter, or an SL-killer, or a bit of both?
