VIDEO: Porsche 996 GT3 Takes a Fast Lap Around The Ring

Again driver Sabine Schmitz "schools" us on the art of driving 10/10ths on the Nurenburgring in a Porsche 996 GT3. Better known for her stints on the iconic BBC show Top Gear. Schmitz is a regular driver for the BMW M5 Ring-Taxi an all out assault on the "Ring" with a M5 and a load of riders.

Whoever was driving that M5 deserves a medal.

And I have even more Respect for the M5 (And to think that was the Old Model)

Could not believe that 4-Door Family Sedan would be able to keep ahead of that GT3.

The driver of the M5 was pretty good. Had it not been for the motorcycles, the M5 would have put a pretty good distance on the porsche

This vid shows what a great car the last gen M5 was...I think that if given the chance the GT3 would have beaten it flat out. But since they were taping they wanted to stay behind the M5.

The driver of the BMW was Sabine Schmitz. The 996 GT3 was the follow car with a video camera. You could hear in the video the driver of the follow car comment on Sabine's driving and the amount of traffic. The GT3 is a faster car around the ring, hence its pick as a follow car. Still, the M5 was an amazing car and driven by Sabine, it was a miracle machine.
