I also agree, the more I look at this front bumper the more I dislike it. It def isn't growing on me. They also cheaped out on the rear fenders...could have made them wider.

Bodykit could be more agressive, but I still think it looks very powerfull.

I only hope that we will be able to separate the real M's from the fake ones.

I live in Europe and in my street alone are 5 BMW M3's sitting in a parking lot if you focus at the looks of the cars.

But when I ask one to pop the Hood ---> 320d :)

Forget Looking under the hood.
It is next to impossible for them to fake the Exhaust System in the Proper M3.

Things to look out for that are next to impossible to Fake or just too Expensive to Implement on M series.

Exterior:
Exhaust Systams
Real Side Vents (Not some Silver Sticker)

Interior:
Rev Counter ( RED LEDs from 4500rpm-8000rpm for when the engine is not at optimum performing conditions i.e just after startup)

The RS4 is the ultimate sports sedan, the M3, the ultimate sports coupe.

But he didn't mention the RS4, so why did you bring it into this?

Looks damn nice in red, but in black it will be beautiful.

Hood doesn't bother me at all, and I really like the treatment done with the side mirrors.

I think the powerdome looks alright in the picture posted above but the second picture from the article makes it look horrendous. I'll jump on the 335 looks better bandwagon :/

I am normally an M3 fan but i would not pay for this if this is the Final Product.

Design is Way Too Busy for anybody over the age of 25 to use Everyday.

Guess will have to Settle with RS4 cab or wait for S5 Coupe

If the price is close to $70K, I much rather get a Porsche 911.

You have to remember- 911 has nothing standard. The average 911 is closer to $85K.

Furthermore, the M3 will NOT be $70K. If I'm correct about BMW's philosophy, it will be in the high 50s.

even $85,000 is on the low end for a 911. get a 4S with options and it can fly over a $100,000.

the M3 will likely be a few thousand more than the last one....so in the low 50s.

Absolutely it will be worth paying over the E90 coupe!

I’m sorry, but the E90 coupe is bland and ordinary, both in looks and especially performance, compared to this new M3.

My guess is that a well-equipped M3 coupe will hit close to $68-$70K. Twin-clutch transmission included.

With a 911 you get 2 less seats, less luxury features, a heck of a lot less luggage space and no twin-clutch tranny. In other words the M3 offers more practicality with same performance at a lesser cost. That’s a good deal.

Make the wheels bigger and make the antenna body-color. Other than that, this does look good.

LOVE IT. An M3 convertible would be P-E-R-F-E-C-T. $30K less than all the other cars I'm thinking of looking at, a hardtop, a sweet 420hp V8, and usable back seats!

Oh and, they fixed the hood bulge. I knew they would. That was the only thing I didn't like about the concept.

I'd like to see a photoshop of the new 3 coupe with the E46 M3's body kit. It would probably be perfect.

It wouldn't, because the two have different philosiphies in terms of design. The E92 is more shapely and rounded, with sexier curves, while the E46 is more squared-off and gemetrical. Even just the bodykit of the old M3 woudn't look right on the new one.

I am hardcore Mercedes fan, the only car from BMW i like is the M5, but even I must admit this is such a nice car..Really something..

As all of you here know that I'm a huge fan of the M3:)LOL... "but" this new M3 is look very soft. The last gen M3 look way more aggressive than this.

But I really like how this new M3 look from the side. It remind me of the current BMW 6 Series, which is the only BMW that I really like.

The soft approach was the whole point. If anyone knows German stying at all its a tad toward minimalism. BMW wanted to break the mold on the M3 pedigree. Svelte lines with a touch of flair to sepate it from the normal 3er. Then you have the BEAST lying under the hood waiting to be beat to death. If you want a busy looking car then this definitely is not the car for you. The Lexus IS-F fits that definition. Oh by the way... Look for a Convertible, Sedan, and a Touring version as well. So the whole Coupe V. Sedan rivalry between the RS4, M3, and *gulp* the IS-F will be a heated battle. Welcome everybody to Manufacturer one-upsman-ship.

I agree! I don't see how this car is "soft" at all. Just as aggressive as the last-gen... I personally think it's more aggressive. More "outgoing" bodykit, but it's still in good taste. It looks beautiful. I would buy it right out of that picture.

don't worry, it won't compete with the IS-F. the M3 is in a class of its own.

Maybe its a conspiracy; call me crazy, but doens't it seem that every thread turns into the Lexus troops rallying their cause no matter what the topic. I bet that if the topic was totally off anything remotely Lexus, like Lamborghini building a new tractor, the Lexus fanboys would say they can wait for the F version of the LX570 with the optional plow attachment to blow its doors off and move earth. Go figure!!

335i is definitely better looking. my gf would mistake this M3 for a regular 3 series and that alone is bad news.
