Mercedes Benz Sales Flatten Out With a 1% Increase for March
MBUSA recorded its highest March on record with sales of 21,612 units, an increase of 1 percent over the 21,417 vehicles sold in March 2006. The monthly figures bring Mercedes year-to-date sales to 55,985, a 9 percent increase over first quarter sales for 2006 which was a record year for Mercedes-Benz in the U.S. and its 13th year of consecutive sales gains.

My guess is that MB is losing share in the US luxury market. Maybe the new C Class will stop the decay maybe not. Meanwhile look for signs that the US luxury market was surging in March - as the rich get richer. We've already seen figures for Audi and Infiniti that are up more than 10% each.

Do you think the C-class will make a big impact on the bottom line?

Now, when you're trying to be "against" Mercedes, you change your odd negative spin on Audi's sales success to actual success? You're hard to understand. Why do you hate Mercedes? Why do you hate Audi?

I think you can blame Consumer Reports for this little hiccup. The April car buying issue landed on store shelves and mailboxes right at the beginning of the month in March. There was a lot of press about it and it had to have hurt sales.

S4cabriofoxone I like Audi in fact I have a much bigger respect for them since I have been on this site. Mercedes is nice but I think there product is a little bit overated they appeal to a different crowd. I have many friends who own Mercedes and they all love them but when I drive there cars I don't feel as if the car is something I would look forward to driving everyday.

Audi while I do have some experience with I must say it is not there finer models like the S4, S6, RS model. My Audi Experience is limited to the A4, A6, and the TT. The Audi S line and RS line does peak my interest though. I do not have anything against Audi or Mercedes per se.

My C class question was just that a question not a taunt.

Oh and yes, I do believe the C will make a difference. It's their best-selling model, is it not?
