Agent 009 how come you used non-adjusted % increases for BMW and adjusted for Lexus?

Why? Well, after all, "Facts are meaningless. You could use facts to prove anything that's even remotely true!"

I don't actually edit the figures. The makers report them both ways (blame the PR dept for spinning them). That is why we post the "Press Release and the Charts"

The lack of a standard for this is ridiculous. And where in this country are people still not buying cars on Sundays? BMW increaased by 628 vehicles. Lexus increased by 1263 vehicles. Who had the better month? You wouldnt know it by the headlines.

toyo ... actually BMW increased by 824 cars ... Both Lexus and BMW had really good months. Lexus has the LS460 which debuted only a few months ago and is going strong. BMW on the other hand is just starting to get production ramped up to full capacity on the X5 and the introduction on the 3-series conv will help. I would expect BMW to improve alot more for the month of April ... This is the beginning of the real car season ...

mromar, apparently you are new to this site. 009 has no love for the Toy. And BMW4Me, I will trust your calculations. My point was to show that by not having an agreed upon indusry standard, a percentage increase that is actually minimal can show up in headlines and press releases as being higher than other mfrs increase, who calculate using adjusted figures. This is what happened in this case. Lexus reported the adjusted number, making their percent increase look smaller than it actually was. Lexus actually increased at a higher rate than BMW in March. As 009 has often pointed out, data can be endlessly manipulated. But raw numbers do speak for themselves sometimes.

I wanna know total 3 Series sales vs total G35 sales. I am curious how close Infiniti is to BMW in that class.

Getting closer> i think the G is about 3,500 units below the 3 series now they are hot on their heels? No they were not out sold 2 to 1 as a poster led you to believe. I'm a x car dealer i get the real numbers still every month from the MFG and the G is hot! Take into cosideration their are still people in this country who don't even know what a Infiniti is and that the name BMW is gold, i would say Infiniti is holding its own very well.
