Renault Megane Renault Sport dCi

Renault Megane Renault Sport dCi
The launch of Mégane Renault Sport dCi sees Renault complete its range of sporting cars with the addition of a high-performance diesel. Aimed at drivers who relish everyday driving, the Renault Sport Technologies-developed Mégane Renault Sport dCi will also appeal to those who appreciate reasonable running costs. Its 2.0-litre common rail 127kW (175hp) diesel powerplant boasts generous maximum torque of 360Nm available from 2,000rpm and across an operational power band similar to that of a petrol engine.

Meanwhile, its exceptional combined cycle fuel consumption of just 6.5 litres/100km makes it an ideal choice for fans of sporting cars who wish to drive their car on a regular basis.

In keeping with other Renault Sport Technologies-engineered models, Mégane Renault Sport dCi's standard chassis delivers sports performance, while those who prefer a more focused drive will appreciate the optional Cup chassis. Available with three or five doors, Mégane Renault Sport dCi is built in Renault’s Dieppe factory.

March 2007 Top Gear magazine page 93-106. includes 7 hot hatches including the (more hardcore) Megane R26. still lost and, in fact, was not even the 2nd choice.

EVO Magazine said the new Type-R was a big dissapointment.

The R26 owned it.

The latest Automobile Magazine said: "The Renault Clio Sport was simply the best Front Wheel Drive car to ever hit pavement"...
I want that car!!!!
Or the Renault Megane RS with 225 hp.
Also in the British EVO magazine, the Civic Type-R was put against the Renault Megane RS, the Ford Focus ST, the Opel Astra VXR, Golf GTI, and Seat Leon FR.
The winner????...yup...the Renault...by far!
5 seconds faster than the Civic at the track!!

It did indeed!

IN YOUR FACE gsh23!

(We all know EVO magazine is more reputable as a performance car magazine than the often dumbed-down Top Gear magazine)
