ABT AUDI R8 - 530Hp, 0 to 62 mph in 3,9 sec
You knew it was coming, but you weren’t sure when. Now you know; this fall at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Audi/VW specialist will present a tuned version of the R8. Albeit ABT hasn’t released any official images yet, the Bavarian tuner is teasing us as with a couple of sketches that allow us to get the picture. Design-wise ABT’s aero-kit includes side skirts, rear-wing, carbon-fibre bonnet, redesigned front & rear bumpers with the latter featuring four inclined arranged exhaust end pipes and of course, a new set of 20-inch alloys. Kinda bling-bling looking in a German way but we’ll wait to see it in real-life pics for our final verdict. ABT doesn’t say anything about interior-mods, but we more than sure they’ll fiddle around with it.

And now to the really important stuff. Thanks to the addition of an ABT supercharger, the stock 4.2 V8 gets a 110 Hp (81 kW) power hike pushing output to 530Hp (390 kW). According to ABT, the supped-up R8 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 317 km/h – 197 mph (stock version: 4,6 sec and 301 km/h – 187mph respectively)

NOOO!!! They ruined it! What a horrific bodykit! And that color... repulsive.

Forget about the color! I saw another pic a while ago about the ABT R8 and the body it's very nice. Let me see if I can find it ...

Not a fan of the "gills" on the side, but still nice for the link above

They should just tune the engine. The design is horrible!

Maybe in black, it will look better.

Looks nice, some parts could be changed..

But this car is beautiful enough for me, no bodykit needed...

Surprised they used the stacked exhausts like on the IS-F concept had, what other cars have this type of tailpipe design.

I have said this before and I will say it again..Mercedes has the only good tunning companies with Lorinser, Brabus, Carlsson, Fab Design and some others..They seem like the only ones who know what they're doing..

0-60 in 3.9 seconds i like, the car also looks pretty nice, i would take off the wing and change the rims.

I'd prefer the slower and more attractive stock R8.

This thing looks like poo.

Yes, and in fact, I saw it *IN PERSON* and *ON THE ROAD* in CA when I was there. WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW. It's even BETTER than in pictures... and far better on the road than at the auto show. Very low to the ground, and the shape is beyond sexy. The car was coming towards me, completely un-camo'd, with only its LEDs on in the front. It blew me away. Hottest, fastest, most exclusive, best-driving, most desirable Audi ever... it blows the RS4 away in terms of coolness. I would say with confidence that when you see it on the road, its beauty is comparable to any Aston Martin. If not more beautiful.

I still prefer the stock look with some nice aggressive rims instead.

I, too. And the NA-spec R8 is standard with the five-spoke 19s... starting at $108K for the manual, $119K for the R-tronic (yes those are real prices). I think it's a bargain.
