Spy Shots: Is this the next VW Jetta, or a VW ‘Logan?’
When we first saw these shots we thougt this is probably the next Volkswagen Jetta, but supposedly Volkswagen is working on a new model, being called the ‘Logan’, which is said to compete with Renault/Dacia’s Logan as an affordable family car. The Volkswagen ‘Logan’ is supposed to be larger than the Jetta and positioned between the Jetta and the Passat and will be developed in collaboration with Magna Steyr.

Also, with the Volvo S40 (show in the back of the photos), following this Volkswagen test mule, you can assume that this car is positioned at a different segment than the Jetta. But why does the front of the car just screams Jetta to us? Well, whatever it is, we hope we find out soon.

A Logan would make more sense than the continuation of the Phaeton.

Looks like a new version of the Jetta. The rear view from the link is a real improvement from existing VWs.

Where did you see a rear end picture?

I hope it's the Jetta. The Jetta is currently my least-favorite VW- bland, fat design, underpowered (besides GLI), bad reliability, gaudy grille... the only thing I approve of is the interior.

Knowing Magna Steyr is co-developing this automobile presents the impression it will not be a dreadful automobile. Actually, I started liking Magna Steyr after I saw the intriguing Mila concept vehicle in an issue of Auto & Design. Chances are the vehicle may even be produced at one of the Magna Steyr production lines.

If it is the Jetta they better offer some good outside options. I mean like rims ect.

This isn't my post.

An "acquaintance" of mine wandered over to my computer, while I was still logged into this account. I am more articulate with these things... as you should know. I also know it has camouflage, and those aren't the real rims!
