722HP Mercedes McLaren SLR 722

722HP Mercedes McLaren SLR 722
It's about time somebody upped the power on the Mercedes McLaren SLR 722 to output 722hp. Mercedes were so stupid to name the car the 722 and only give it 650hp.

But now RENNTech have increased the boost and builds a version with 722hp.

As if the standard 722 isn't already overpowered. Who needs this? There's hardly any place in the world where one can use this power and have some serious fun, unless you go to the salt desserts in Nevada.

Ya you're right, that much horsepower is just rediculously impracticle. The normal SLR is much more humble and sensible at over 500 grand and 650hp...nothing but the essentials...

The "normal" SLR costs "only" $420,000 and has "only" 617hp.

Ever been to Germany Billy? A place where cars fly on the roads with no speed limit...yeah its pretty fun!

You're not exactly correct on that statement. There are limits but there also are strips of the autobahn where there are no speed limitations. But yes this SLR can excel in those types of places.

Mercedes weren't "stupid" to only give this car 650hp... the 722 tag was never supposed to be related to the output! thats like saying porshe are stupid for not giving their cars 911hp!!!

You are missing something though... You can go as fast as you want in Dubai; where most of these supercars go. Have you seen how they drive there?

I've vacated to Dubai several times. The lifestyle is very prestige and one of the most upscale places on the planet. I had the luxury to stay at Burj Al Arab and my god the service there is top notch. However like anywhere you tip well you get treated like royalty.

When I was on the roads there I saw numerous high end vehicles. Majority Mercedes, then came BMW and Audi. There were a few Lexus there but the people who owned them had a total difference appearance from the Mercedes/Bentley/Rolls Royce/Maybach owners. I wouldn't call it cheap but they didn't look like as professional and business oriented. They were probably small shareholders of oil companies instead of being high profile exec's. Either way all impressive cars there and it's one very wealthy city.

I highly recommend it but bring lots of money. By the way there are quite a few SLR's out there. Quite the spectacle.

The same people who think this car has too much horsepower also complain about the gas mileage of their camry.

hey amgc55, does your car have quad or dual exhaust? I think 05 + have quad exhausts. Nice little car. outputs 362 hp, and adding ecu can get it to 380 fairly easily.

-- I have Quad exhaust... before it was the C32 and it had Dual
