Ford CEO lucky for not getting shot in the face after joke on Bush blows up
Ford apologized after CEO Alan Mulally made a joke during his keynote speech at the 2007 New York Auto Show, claiming that during a recent visit to the White House, he saved President Bush’s life. Mulally claimed that he attempted to prevent President Bush from plugging an electrical cord into the hydrogen tank of the Ford Edge HySeries Drive. Mulally said the comment had been made as a joke and didn’t expect the press at the 2007 New York Auto Show to make a big deal out of it.

During his keynote speech, Mulally said that the president was going to plug the power cord into the wrong outlet of the rechargeable Ford Edge HySeries Drive.

“I violated all protocols. I touched the president. I grabbed his arm and I moved him up to the front. I wanted the president to make sure he plugged into the electricity, not into the hydrogen,” he said. ”This is all off the record, right?”

Who really cares if it’s off the record. Mulally, we appreciate you telling us a joke at 7:15 am in the morning.

That joke is one of the best things Mullaly has done in the past 4 months, to earn his 30 million dollars. Now, because corporations and the White House are in bed together, Ford has to spend a week mopping up the mess. It just makes it even funnier.

I hate the press! Who cares? Why does the media have to sensationalise on this nonsense? When was the last time you pluged in an electric hybrid?

it seems you don't get the joke so let me explain... even if you've never used a hydrogen car before, you are supposed to know the difference between the electrical plug, and the OTHER one! besides, it's the fact that the moron did it that makes it so much funnier, i mean he's supposed to be running the country ( his incompetence is so old news, but now he's joke material... )

George W a moron? That sounds like a politically corect thing to think. When your decisions are potentially killing people daily it would be hard to concentrate on what you are doing. Although it was a huge mistake.
