SPY SHOT: BMW's New X6 Is Out In The Open
Although the big 4x4 has spent 12 months testing on public roads, a heavy disguise has prevented our spy photographers from getting to grips with the newcomer's unique design - until now.

These first interior pictures of the car change all that, and also show the X6 is a strict four-seater, with its rear chairs divided by a large armrest. They also reveal how aggressively styled the BMW's back end will be.

considering ur advice as intelligence, given ur posts on this site, that is REALLY DUMB!... a BMW truck, eventhough it will be the best truck ever, IMO, but please, heaven forbid, NO NO NO!

Yeah "Autophile" I totally agree on that spoiler issue...BMW must have completely lost it on this one!;)

Too early to tell.
There's to much camouflage on the car

How much is the X6 gonna weigh?
BMW X5 ('07) weighs 5442 lbs (without driver or fuel). THe FX45 weighs 4415 lbs with a full 20 gallon tank. Even with a 35bhp handicap, the FX slams the BMW into the wall at the stoplights. Plus, the FX's cornering ability approaches a sport sedan's. X5's though competent, seems artificial- you always feel the X5's more weighty, more ponderous than the FX.
Its only the X5's interior that's better than the FX's. And that's all. THe FX is better in every way- a true driver's tool, the X5 merely a high ticket luxo-barge for those who care more about what their neighbors think than they themselves do.
I wonder how the X6's driving abilities will be compared to the 2008 infiniti FX45/56.

It seems like some of you have not seen any spy pictures before. For people who post on a site called "Autospies" that's surprising. Not only is the spoiler just part of the disguise, but the entire body (all panels) are covered with fake plastic cladding so as not to give away the real look. The entire top section behind the rear door is also fake. The real shape will be very raked behind the rear door, not straight and boxy like on this disguised version. You can see the slope of the roof in the rear interior picture. There is also some plastic cladding covering the dash (notice how sunk in the key and vents are). The article mentions that it is a four seater (and the final product may end up being a 4 seater), but the one in this picture has a regualar bench seat in the back. You can clearly see the latch where where the fold down armrest will latch on to. Looks exactly the same as the armrest latch on my 5 series.
