RUMOR: When does the BMW X6 hit? We dial you in to this exclusive info...
Dear 001,

The next hot BMW everyone is waiting to see is the upcoming BMW X6.

I just got out of a strategy meeting and the word is that the launch of the X6 will be this September at the Frankfurt Auto Show.

But as usual, BMW will launch early photos and preliminary details this summer in advance of the show.

Keep Spying!

Felix

IAA Frankfurt 2007:

M3 Coupe
M6 CSL Concept
6-series facelift
another Concept (probably X6 Concept)
possible: 1-series coupe, or announced just after IAA

6 Series facelift? I hope they're not dropping the 4.8L engine. I'm also crossing my fingers that it's not going to be significantly more expensive.

TimE -the 1 series coupe is already on sale!
for the rest i agree
and you have forgotten the very plausible Z6/Z8 whatever they call it

The 1 series coupe isn't already on sale, the 2-dr hatch is.

TimE, what do you think the chances of the M6 CSL even being displayed as a concept are?

I recall reading about it before the M6 was even unveiled, but since then ... nothing! The best rumour I heard was BMW being able to extract upto 600 horses from the V10.

135Ci, X6, M6 CSL ---- 3 BMW's I'm really looking forward to.

This could be sweet.

X6 is that not like a R-Class Mercedes? I can;t get excited about a CUV-Minivan, maybe BMW will surprise ( I hope so since I love BMW) but we will wait and see!

the X6 is more likely to be a mix of coupe and SUV, but given the length of the test mules seen outside Munchen, i would say it's more likely to be X7, being a top of the range, full size SUV, more logical following their X3/X5 pattern, and given the success Audi is getting with the Q7...

I'm not a fan of BMW trying to Mercedes its lineup (a.k.a. be everything for all people), but hopefully they'll win me with this one. BMW hasn't failed me with most of their recent products... I expect the X6 to be far superior to the R-Class. I don't think the two are even in contention.

The upcoming 6-series facelift is minor like the 5ers, the front skirt will be slightly restyled along with an interior refreshning. Engines remain the same.
