First time for everything: Honda sells over 100,000 cars in UK

Honda, for the first time ever, has sold over 100,000 vehicles in the UK within a year after setting the target back in 1994 when it only sold under 30,000 cars. Reporting a record fiscal month for 2006 reporting a market share of 4.66%, Honda said that it sold over 130,000 vehicles.

“But we’re not resting on our laurels: the next target is 150,000 cars, which will be just as tough a challenge,” says Jeff Dodds, Head of Marketing at Honda (UK).

That could be true but do you have any official information to back up this claim that BMW did it first? If you do I will humbly say you are correct.

Congrats to Honda. They do make good engines and they do deserve to sell 100,000 cars in UK.

They make many Honda's in England too. I think all Civic hatchbacks are made here, as are CR-Vs.
