So did I! I saw it on Congress at a gas station. I immediately recognized it to be the new Accord coupe. It looked great- just like the concept.

it looks very American. It has that saturn, Chevy feel. I love my 03 coupe though. And im sure this car will be just as great.

I have also loved the Accord engines ever since the 98' model came in. The V6 has always been smooth and have had enough horsepower to drive in the city and overtake on the highways.

I hope Acura comes out with a new coupe that will replace the previous CL segment and be in actual contention with the G37 coupe and 3 series. I know it sounds far fetched but I really do think Acura has the potential but they don't go for it.

If I was a high level Acura Exec I would be pushing the brand upmarket. The RL would either be revamped as a full size luxury sedan or completely scratched to make a new model to change the image of the brand. As for the TL the next generation would be fairly larger in size and it would be up marketed situating under the RL(or replacement). There's a CSX model here in Canada and that I would scrap immediately because in a luxury brand there is no space for a re badged glorified civic. The TSX would move up and take the TL's current position. However that's just my dreams of what should happen with Acura but I doubt it will.

All is needed is a V8 engine and RWD. It's not like Honda doesn't have a RWD vehicle to begin with. They make great engines and they should excel in this category. They can compete with Infiniti for sure and be a close second behind Lexus. It all takes great marketing like the treatment Lexus has received from its great marketers.

I think the Acura company is just too lazy or too scared to take a risk. It's a healthy risk to upmarket a little bit. It just takes time for recognition. Look at Lexus now compared to 10 years ago.

Big taillights are really popular on Japanese coupes these days huh?

Did you see the other pics? It looks very, very good. IMO much better than the new Altima- YES, I can tell when this car has camo on it, because it will look almost exactly like the show car!

Why was I so de-boosted? Because I like the new Accord coupe?

This generation accord coupe is by far the best Honda, the altima coupe got nothing on this baby. The back reminds me of the BMW 6. Is said to look 95% like the concept and it does. I wana see the interior though. Honda is coming up big-time.

Well, I looked at your links LA and I'm not sure what you're talking about. The overhangs for both the Altima and Accord coupe are very similar. The front of the Altima just curves down at the end and the Accords is more square, so the Altima's does look a little shorter. The rears are almost the same with maybe a slight short advantage to the Altima.

Nevertheless, IMO, the Altima Coupe looks horrendous, especially when you compare it to its big brother, the G35/37. Certainly, looks are in the eyes of the beholder, but I'll bet the Accord Coupe has a much better sales record than the Altima Coupe.

put a BMW badge on this thing and it would look just fine. The rims i don't like though.

hot car! i love it sophisticated styling, another critical acclaim, though the side looks a bit like the early 2000's BMW 3 series =( it really made me believe that they benchmark BMW over the years in many respect...

Where do u see styling in the altima? i don't get it
I was at the New York auto show, i saw both cars.
The accord is geometrically and aerodynamically stylish.
Got to see the accord in real life, there is details you don't see in the photos. Honda has gone BM i love it.

Honda cars are most reliable and most value. Styling was missing, but look at all new generation lineup, Civic, CRV, and now the Accord. MAD STYLE. I hope we get like 280 + hp on the v6.

Not sure if I like it or not. But I know this much. I wont be getting one if I even likeit. I have had 2 Honda's and both got hail damage when none of the other cars next to me didnt. And both those cars had more door dings than any others I had. So those huge wheel arches will pick them up like bugs on a summers nite road trip in Texas. Only good thing is at least its the wheel arches so not to many vehicles line up with them in parking lots.... of course if its slanted parking the front doors will.

What American car company you know to come even close to any Japanese car company, even Cadillac don't and cady's expensive. All gm cars style like Honda now, lincoln, ford, chevy.

Very swoopy back end. Looks good. I'm surprised how short the rear deck lid is. Looks like they're very close to the concept car on this one.

I love the new Accord, I also think that Acura is about to do a major upgrade to their lineup. If the Accord coupe is based off the sedan, then the sedan is going awesome. That will mean that the Acura TL is going more upscale and more sportier. I cannot wait to see upcoming concepts from Acura. Acura is not dumb, they are aware of their current situation...and I expect them to "Bring It"

I think you are right about the TL becoming more upscale. I believe that the next generation TL is going to be in the range of the mid-entry level. I believe it is safe to state that the new Accord coupe will be on par or better than then current TSX in terms of luxury. Performance and handling, it should be able to be on par with that of the 2003 TL Type-S, yet without the need of having to fill the tank with 91 octane.

notice the HUGE back window? and how raked it is?

the civic's windshield is raked at a sharper angle than the NSX's.

one could wish they'd stuff a mid/rear engine under that glass!

you confusing the mule with the real thing looks like a solara with camo on true. The reason i like this new coupe is because it looks like nothing else out there, Is attractive.

Oh please Ricemaster, you're a rice master, what do ricers know about real style? large body kits, exhausts, stickers is not style and sure as hell does not make a car 'fast'.

The Accord coupe will be a smoother driving car than an Altima coupe.

:P it's okay don't hate now. no need to cry my friend. it's okay if you're still into the ricing stage.

The only nissan i like is the 350 Z the rest of the line up sux a$$ this new accord is going to set new standards for the Japan automakers, especially affordable brands. New altima looks like a gay maxima.

I think that it's funny how the pictures were found on a site for mobile phones.

i ALSO think that this car looks great! keep the engine smooth, the interior impeccable and give it ample power and it will be a HUGE hit. ...but what am i saying, it's a Honda, of course it will have all these things.

also, i cannot take credit for the article...i found a link to it on www.vtec.net. :)
