Audi TT Proves To Be The Most Popular Car in Germany

The Audi TT is Germany’s most popular car. For the eighth time, more than 100 regional weekly newspapers invited their readers to vote for “Our car”. The 56 car models launched during the past year were eligible to take part. Over 100,000 responses were received, and the Audi TT topped the poll.

The TT, which received the “Yellow Angel” award from readers of the ADAC publication Motorwelt at the beginning of this year, continues Audi’s success story in the “Our car” poll. In 2005 the Audi A6 was the clear winner, while last year the A4 came out on top. The prize is awarded during the AMI in Leipzig.

The TT Roadster is a total chick car, yes... but then again, so are the SLK, Z4 roadster and to some extent, even the Boxster. It just so happens that the TT's innovative design appeals to more women than the cars mentioned above... therefore, it outsells them.

The TT coupe, on the other hand, is a masterpiece- with the S-Line package, it really is masculine. I wouldn't mine owning one.
