Jeremy Clarkson's Time's Online reviews the new BMW 3-Series convertible

BMW is adept at styling convertibles and roadsters. Its 1930s 328 was a fine early example, the Mille Miglia version of which is said to have inspired the Jaguar XK120’s svelte lines; the BMW 507 two-seater of the 1950s with detachable hardtop and folding soft-top was one of the best-looking cars of its type produced — and the new 3 Series Convertible shapes up well, too.

When can I order one in Canada with the 228 HP Diesel torque-monster with 0-100kms in 7 seconds and 41.5 MPG ???
(that's UK = Canadian MPG ... about 35 miles per US Gallon)

The 3 series 328's aren't slow either. Both with sport/premium packages are good. THe only difference are the TT engine and the regular I6. Great performers though. You get what you pay for. Afterall the 328 and 335 is only around 1 second different in 0-60. In reality it makes no difference. It's all bragging rights.

it really is beautiful and probably even more fun than the 335i coupe with the top down. no wonder it was one of the big hits of the new york auto show.

in england there already is the 335d convertible....
but it is expensive, more so than the 335i.

I picked up my 328i cab last weekend and it is one sweet ride. Its truly amazing inside, quiet, spacious and beautiful. The top is a work of art. My 5 yr old son calls it the 'robot car' because when the top comes down he thinks it looks like one of his 'Transformers'.

Anybody interested in my mint, 48k mile 1990 325i cab e30 one-owner, it will be posted on 'Roadfly' in a day or two.

Only 48,000 miles, but it's seventeen years old?!?

My 2000 A6 had about 87,000 miles when I got rid of it in 2005!
