Spy Shots: Aston Martin DB9 caught circling Nurburgring

We should just move out some where the Nurburgring track in Germany and bring you shots of cars that circle it all day long. Recently, the AutoExpress guys caught the new Aston Martin DB9 doing high-speed testing at the Nuburgring. The Aston Martin DB9, which is based on the DBRS9, will have a 6.0 liter V12 engine that produces 450 horsepower giving it the ability to do 0-60 mph in 5 seconds.

From the pictures you can see that the Aston Martin DB9’s body kit is inspired directly from the race track version of the car with a very aggressive front. The car is expected to hit roads later this year.

aston is not the british equivalent to ferrari, not even close. yes both are coupes and very expensive but aston sacrifices performance for more luxury, while ferrari sacrifice luxury for more performance.

While Astons' are by far the sexiest cars on the planet, nothing compares to the driving experience that a ferrari gives you.

Let me throw an Andy Rooney moment out there:

The base DB9 is already in production and being sold. Right? Wrong? The DBR9 race car was produced in conjunction with Prodrive to compete in ALMS, ELMS and the 24 of Le Mans. Right? Wrong? In "Casino Royale" Bond drove a conceptual DBS that was supposed to be based on the soon-to-be-produced DBS, DBR9S, DBRS9 whatever. So this car seen here is the mule for the super DB9. The tag that this car was based on the DBR9 racer was very misleading on eGMs webpage. When you jump to the Brit website, it makes clear what the truth of the spy was. I have been ever more disappointed with eGM's posts that make their way to this site.

I prefer a dark blue, or light metallic green. A super-rich resident of my town has a light green DB9 Volante as his "summer car..." absolutely gorgeous. I can dream, can't I?

I have come up with a conclusion: Aston Martin pages are the only places where this place actually resembles a car enthusiast website! A celebration should be held at once!

We all agree to loving this car. This is what AutoSpies should've been in the first place; a collection of car enthusiasts, Lex lovers and German lovers alike, who can drool over cars they admire mutually.

Again, I know I complained about the C63 having a very inefficient engine despite the post saying its de-tuned. However now I see this… 450bhp from a 6L V12!!! So basically I think the M5 is a better car than this new DB9.

I think there is a serious lack of engineering in the world, if BMW and Audi can produce efficient powerful engines I can’t see why Mercedes and Aston Martin can’t…
