Honda Crossroad Test Drive, HDTV

Late February 2007 Honda presented to the medias and the japanese audience their Crossover/SUV built for the city but with the look of an "off roader": the Crossroad.

The Crossroad is not Honda's first SUV and it looks fairly different than the CR-V which is now more of a luxury sedan with big wheels and 4 wheel drive, closer to the needs of the American market than the Japanese one.
In our mind this Crossroad is more of a 1st generation CR-V revival, a car which design is synonymous of adventure and not just the monotony of the flat tarmac from our cities...and at the same time it's a compact family car.

At last a nice symmetrical wheel design from a Japanese manufacturer: 10 spokes on a 5-bolt wheel. For best visual appeal, the number of spokes should always match the number of bolts or be a multliple of the number of spokes as is the case here. Now bad news regarding the engine: SOHC instead of DOHC and, unlike similar offerings from KIA, no V6 availability. I hope this vehicle has a part-time 4WD so one can really save gas by running it in 4WD only when road conditions (e.g. snow) warrant. Honda should offer a version of this vehicle with a longitudinally mounted engine, RWD, and limited slip differential.

hmm..lol..delan yeah its a *Fusion* of design elements...with an edge LOL. Honda has been trying to seriously makin themselves for younger crowds same prob with toyota. But most teens will rather have a mustang or something
