Spy Video....7 Series Goes Drifting

A full size luxury sedan being the king of handling? I highly doubt that. Handling better? that sounds more reasonable.

maybe Sevorbeupstry is refering to king of handling in its class. You know...vs. the S500 or LS or A8...

I bet BMW is the only car company that will put their full-size luxury sedan through this much rigorous track testing.

You're missing the point.... You rarely get to see these type cars testing with all their electronic gizmos turned off. BMW and other companies test them like this to test chassis and suspensions.... a rare treat for those who love to kick out the rear while driving since most of these cars have every letter of the alphabet controling any type of rear end breakaway.

It will be a masterpiece.

I'm buying a 2009 7 Series.

The current 7's handling is already incredible for a car it's size. I participated in BMW's driving school last year where we were able to throw the 750i into the corners, & I was blown away by it's capabilities to say the least.

There was a gentleman who drove to the track in is his IS350 that day to participate in the driving school. We had both cars on the track & the 7 was the better car for the job. In fact the 7 almost outhandled my 650i coupe.

Somehow I doubt such a heavy pig of a 7-Series outhandled the small and nimble IS350. It is very popular to bash Lexus handling on this site, and understandably so, but sometimes one of you will lack complete reasoning and logic just to prove an already unreasonable notion. The IS350 has brilliant handling capabilities.

I would like to point out for you that a 7 series has handling tech that not one single japanese car has (i'm only talking about technology, not saying it handles better than all the japs...) like active roll stabilisation, DTC, ... so it's understandable it handles better than some despite the weight disadvantage it has...

Actually "Anthony" if you look up the specs of these two car's you'll realize the 7-series is more dynamic & nimble than the IS350.

Road & Track posted a 750i running the slalom at 67.0 mph, and the IS350 at 66.1 mph...You do the math to my so called "unreasonable notion".

I guess that will make Anthony shut up for a while... and yes the 7 series handles extremely well in its class. But its getting quite old now, and others are begining to surpass it, but the new version will put a shoe in every BMW bashers mouth.
