BMW 1 Series Coupe Exposes Most of Its Face!

We all know that BMW has been working on the 1 Series coupe that may bring the world back a reincarnation of the 2002 if done right. Small package, rear wheel drive, excellent handling, decent price. We finally get a glimpse of its snout while on test in Germany. A few weeks ago the rear was exposed during a photo shoot. Now we can finally see what the front will bring.

Surprise, surprise: it looks like a 1 Series.

I've gotten to like the 1's front end over time, but the hatch's rear is another story... I hope this one looks better from the back.

I can't wait for 009 to show that you can lease a 1-Series for cheaper than a Toyota Corolla. You can even recycle the headline from the Camry/3-Series article! "Can I Drive a BMW for Less Than a Toyota?"

The one series has really grown on me. A while ago there where some spy shots floating around the web of various prototypes winter testing..

1 series 3 door hatch = has been released
1 series coupe = immenant
1 series cabriolet = immenant
1 series tourer = spied
1 series saloon = spied

are they going to bother with the saloon and the tourer? I hope so.

I just leased a BMW 1 in Germany, a 118d. Too bad you suckers who diss on this car can't feel the Autobahn under your wheels. (FWIW, my other car is a Cayman S, the BMW is just for driving around town.)

Demographics? I see more men than women over here driving this car. Hopefully BMW will bring this car to the US, in a diesel.
