Despite Record Sales, Honda Profits Are Down

Honda Motor Company saw profits slide despite doing a global sales which rose 9%. There were expenses credited to the Japanese carmaker that added to boost the 2006 spreadsheets.

All other things being equal, when the vendor makes little profit, the buyer is gatting a good deal. The risk is that if a vendor's profits continue to remain low for a longer period, the vendor comes under financial pressure and starts to take shortcuts in product quality.
