VIDEO: Dodge Viper SRT10 vs Mercedes SL55 AMG Review

As an owner of that same SL55 (Silver) it appears to be a peculiar comparison at the least... I don't know too many SL55 owners who would consider owning a "Dodge". Snotty sounding I'm aware, but the beauty of owning the SL55 is that only few people realize the difference and it's more subtle of a "respect earned" than a "respect demanded" of a vehicle. Although at times, the squeaks of the roof delude me into feeling like I'm driving an american car!

Fifth Gear or Top Gear? I'm not sure. Or something else? And... on Detroit Public TV. I wish my PBS station shared that programming.

I think it really embrassing for the MB SL55 AMG to lose to the Dodge Viper SRT 10 like that. The Dodge Viper SRT 10 only has 6 hp more than the SL55 AMG. It was quicker than the LS55 AMG and need shorter distance for the break test. I expected more from the MB SL55 AMG considering that the Viper only has 6 hp more than the SL55 AMG.

Do you know the difference in weight between the two vehicles?

Until you open the doors and sit inside the car..... ( dodge feels like a cheap crap while the mercs feel like a gt cruiser.) The SL is about 2000kg... and the displacement of the dodge is 8.3l... while the SL is only 5.5

What's your point about the displacement. The SRT-10 has a larger displacement however the mercs 5.5 is blown to holy hell.
