Ford: April sales for US were 'terrible' for the industry - Toyota laughs
Ford said today that sales were not even close to where the company expected them to be in April. Ford said that April was a horrible month for the auto industry due to slow housing market and rising gas prices.

“This month is terrible,” Ford chief sales analyst George Pipas said in an interview. He said the industry volume seemed to be down 10 percent to date before seasonal adjustment.

On a side note, Toyota has taken the number one spot from GM by selling 2.35 million cars in the first quarter.

It's too bad the North American Big 3 are taking their lumps right now, but they will adapt to the market place and eventually improve their product line to compete again.

Why the ford company is dead in the water = the bloody ford family...
A minority of share, but the majority of votes....
GM & Ford are saveable, they just need to be run by people with brains and not morons like at present. KKR could turn one of them around in only a couple of years!
