DUH! The 335i is beautiful, handles great, light on fuel, practical, fast and just luxurious enough to be called a cheap GT. My favorite sub-$50K coupe. That does, BTW, include the new A5. It's just not quite as nice as the 3.

I think they were aiming for the interior to be stuble and modern while not overdoing it. Sure, some elements need some work, but everything can't be perfect, can it ;)

360hp with 500 torque? what part of the world is this?
in the us & canada, the 3 series tt has 300hp with 300 torque.

Stock 335 coupe is 300/300, not 360/400 - though with a Visnu companion board add in, you can get numbers like that with a $1500 15 minute install.

No wonder you are a Lexus fan, what a stupid and ignorant comment. Those awards go to companies with original concepts.

The Lexus IS350 holds no candle to the 335 coupe. Plus you can't get the IS350 in coupe.
Another crap comment brought to you by LexusFanForNever.

lexusfanforever:
1. the 335i is significantly faster than the IS350. while they both have factory claims of 5.3 0-60, reviews have consistently gotten high 4s for the 335i and right around 5.3 for the IS350. combine that with the far superior handling of the 335i and you have a clear performance winner.
2. how are turbos cheating? they're a great way to get lots of power and efficiency at once. so i supposed the IS-F is "cheating" because it needs 5 liters to ALMOST match the power of the 4 liter M3? and lexus hybrids are "cheating" by adding an extra engine?

Wow, shot down! Nice comment, enthusiastx.
Turbos are definitely not "cheating..." they're no less fair than Lexus's extra half liter of displacement, for sure. The twin-turbos in my old A6 were a great way to hustle to work, but still get 25mpg on the highway.

The IS350 is the one that is cheating with its larger displacement to compete with the likes of the M3.

The 335i coupe is a very impressive automobile. Its exterior appearance is great. The only flaw seems to be the inexpensive looking interior.

I'm curious -- have any of the folks on here who complain about the interior of the new 3-series "looking inexpensive" actually sat inside a new 3-series? I'm guessing there's a lot of folks just regurgitating someone elses opinion they read online so they can sound like they know what they're talking about, because I don't get it. It's nicer than a C-class, the IS didn't impress me other than the nav screen, it's worlds better than a G35 -- probably the only interior in the class that seems richer is the Audi, and that's just Audi's thing. And it's pretty close anyway. Someone explain it to me, please (and by "someone" I mean a person who has actually been in all these vehicles, not the opinion regurgitating brain sharers who typically like to post "their thoughts")

Thats what I have been telling them since I first joined.... They think that if the interior isnt up to par with audi it makes it automatically cheap. I like BMW's interiors, they give a sporty luxury image.

Yes, I will admit, it's hard to keep up with the interior my S4! (-:
On a more serious note, the 3 is not cheap at all. It may not look as freakishly modern as the button-laden IS in there, but the materials are every bit top-notch, only playing second fiddle to the A4. The only BMW interior that I think is truly "cheap" is the E60 5 Series, but perhaps that's been cured with the refresh. I'll have to drive one to find out. But I do know that the 3 Series, 6 Series, 7 Series, X3, X5 and Z4 are all quite nice on the inside.
