Wow, I am so happy to see Benz fall on their faces yet again !
MB is on its way out of business, Lexus should just buy their sorry ases up today and eliminate yet another nameplate from the US market.

Sorry to dissapoint you, Lexusclown, but Mercedes is not going out of business. Keep dreaming.

I see nothing has changed on Autolies. The Lexus fans just got even more retarded I see. That's the reason I hardly show up here anymore. Too much fanboy talk.

Lexus you have a lot of baseless information. You know how big Mercedes is? This thread has nothing to do with Lexus whatsoever.

Toyota-Lexus,they have coppied the European car industry for over three decades now and more than less stoled their technology, just like the Chinese are doing now,I have no respect for these people and their cars, oh have you seen how good Toyota and Honda are doing in Formula 1, you should bring your over hyped Toyota over here on the Autobahn, the only real cars that are burning up the track here are MB's and Porche's both from a little city called Stuttgart...

I don't quite believe Benz has the techniques right now to produce a 500hp NA v8 under 6.5L. Maybe Turbo again?

BillBill - 5/1/2007 1:02:51 PM

Another moron.

In the 1930s, Mercedes had a 3-l V8 that produced close to 500-horsepower.

If Mercedes' wanted to, they could make an engine that produced 600-horsepower out of 3-l today. Engines are fine tuned for emissions, fuel economy and of course performance these days.

You stupid. Why didn't you just say a 2.4L v8 F1 engine?

We are talking civilized NA engines here.

supraneverback and lex#1 i always knew u 2 were a bunch of idiots. i mean how many times have you commented on a mercedes amg 63. it has 6.3L hints the number 63. and 514hp... N/A... and they don't have the technology... right. i have read so many of your comments and im sure you don't believe most of the crap you right.

AMG has different hp platforms for their engines. For instance the 55 (5.5 liter)started with 347 and went up to approx 626 hp for the SLR and now they are doing the same with the 6.3 liter, around 450 hp base for the new W204 and up to well over 600 hp for their larger modell cars...AMG could tweek out much more but they are owned and controlled by MB which is good because most tuned cars dont have logevity or last, AMG cars last you a lifetime.
