Audi Records a 9.4% Increase in April Sales

Audi of America, Inc. today announced April sales totaled 8,106, an increase of 9.4% compared to last year’s numbers, and a record for the month of April. For the year, Audi sales are up 15.2% over last year’s sales volume.

April 2007 marked the sixth consecutive month when Audi dealers posted a monthly all-time record.

The all-new 2008 TT Coupe and Roadster models started arriving at dealerships at the end of April, and fill a gap Audi had not occupied during the 2007 model year. The A4 Cabriolet model line had the largest increase for the month at 22.7%.

“Yearly sales are on track for another record year.” Stated Johan de Nysschen, Executive Vice President for Audi of America, Inc. “We have the all-new TT models now arriving in showrooms, and the Audi Q7 continues to be a strong performer. And new offerings arrive later this year, including the R8 mid-engine sports car and the S5 Coupe.”

Significant gains were recorded by dealers in Texas (+67.0%), Michigan (+28.0%), and New Jersey (+25.7). Key metro regions also saw big gains, including Atlanta (+41.1%) and New York (+27.1%).

Audi Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) sales are also up 6.8% for the year with 8,254 vehicles delivered. .

I just dont understand ... 009 you advertise this huge increase and everyone knows that it is only due to the Q7. The A4, A6, A8 are down again for like the 5 or 6th consecutive month. The annoying thing is that when BMW sales are up only .5% it is stagnate and creats a negative view of BMW . BMW still outsells Audi 4 to 1 in the US.

I post the press releases. But BMW is stagnate for the total lineup. Yes the Q7 floats the audi boat at this time but I have never said it didn't.

The reason I post the sales snap shot it to allow you to see that.

Another example is the G35 floating Infiniti sales too.

BTW 4 to 1 is true but that doesn't change the fact their sales were flat while other went up.

Ford sales went flat before Toyota over took them.

Flat just means the held their ground for the month. The real question is: are the others gaining or holding their ground too?

so I wonder what will happen when the
R8, A5, S5, A7 R10, TT, Q5, Q3 new A4, and all the other models come out

Why does it matter if the Q7 is driving them? Where do you think BMW would be without the X3 and X5, or Lexus without its SUVs? They still increased their sales, and BMW didn't.

how can you say flat ... 25k cars is a lot of cars .. april of 2006 was the best ever for BMW and they topped it for 2007. That is with 90% of dealers with a 3 month wait for 3-series coupes, conv, X5 4.8L and 535 ...

bmw and that is with bmw leading the industry with $5,500 a car in incentives

you can't buy market share for long.
Ford and GM did that and look at them now

will the q7 is a new truck
it takes several years of sales to see them everywere

if they sold 2x that trucks you still would not see them that much. I have noticed more and more though and we are selling them to someone. in less they are parking them in the garage you will see them soon
