Having a wife and two adult daughters, I can speak from personal experience. Women are deinitely more aggressive drivers than men. They are also impatient and will take a stupid shortcut to their destination in the hopes of saving a fraction of a minute in travel time. They don't pay attention to potholes on the road which is really annoying when you try to protect your nice alloy wheels. Yet they continue to nag and criticize more careful drivers like myself. I solved this problem by simply letting my wife do most of the driving -- It's like having a chauffeur who can also do dishes and clean the house. Now, don't get me wrong, I think women are great and are smarter than men in certain areas -- it's just that they are not better drivers and they have no respect for mechanical devices. Maybe that's why some countries don't allow women to drive.

All men and women who don't use their damn indicator when changing lanes.

And all the dudes out there still blasting their "boomin' systems" like it's 1991.

If you are the person who drives in the left lane on the freeway, not only refusing to let me by, but SLOWING when you get into traffic, I hate you.

If you are the person who flies right into my blind spot, and then drives there, I hate you, too.

Cant stand Left-hand lane sitters , I get right up on there ass, hold the horn down and bright them till they move. The left lane is for passing, If you see some one else coming from behind, Move the hell out of the way. They are forcing us to break the law by passing them in the right lane.

If they dont move I pass them, then get in front of them even slower to let them see how annoying it is.

I would say 90% of the time its a woman.

We need a $500 fine for being passed to the right.

I live in MA where everyone is an a$$hole, so I'd say it's about a 50/50 mix.

The thing I HATE the most is drivers, men or women, with inconsistent highway speeds...cruise control was invented for a reason, so if you're going to pass me, dont slow down after moving in front of me! When I move out to pass you (without increasing my speed because I use cruise control) you decide to go faster, and then I'm stuck next to you in the left lane, having to speed up to 85 or 90 to create a buffer zone.

And yes. I'd say 99% of women have no respect for cars. Potholes kill cars!

The whole concept boils down to being aware of the traffic around you. If you are, then you can avoid doing stupid things like driving too slow in the left land, pulling out in front of someone, not signaling a turn, on and on.

Driving is just getting worse and worse. Road rage occurs not because people are angry psychopaths, but because they have to put up with terrible, discourteous divers. Nothing is worse than having someone speed up when you try to pass. I especially love when you are on a two-lane road and come to a passing zone only to have the person in front of you decide that particular 500 feet of road is the perfect opportunity to achieve the speed limit they have been 15 MPH under for the past 30 miles.

I agree with M35MT. Cruise control should be required use on the highway. I hate inconsistent highway drivers. Slow or fast, just pick one and stick with it so the rest of us don't have to keep changing speeds.

What irritates me is the number of people that rev their engines when pulled up next to me at a stop light. Yes, my M roadster is fast. I refuse to drag race on public streets however.
Another annoyance is the # of riced out Honda Civics with fart-can exhausts.... is that supposed to sound good? oh...these same cars rev their engines too when next to me....I just laugh!

I hate Americans who drive German cars too. They should stick with their own kinds.

definitely asians... no im not racist.
But i liv ein Queens, nyc, and asians in my towm make up about 25 percent. and the older asian immigrants who still cnat speak english right.. those are just terrible. i mena.. younger asians( more americanized) are fine. but those FOBS are horrible. i cnat even begin to explain..

Most of you guys are right on the money. Things I hate MOST in this order:

1) LEFT LANE BANDITS!!! Die already!

2) Rush-hour blue hairs- people who dont move with rush hour traffic. They either sit there when traffic is moving or move a good 10 miles an hour slower than traffic

3) People who clog up a right lane at an intersection which other motorists are using for turning right because they want to race others across the intersection and into the merge lane on the other side when the light turns green. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!

4) People who get pissed in rush hour because someone moved in front of them while they were idling forward.

I hate women that apply makeup, looking into the rearview mirror while driving.... that is pretty gender specific. Although, those metrosexuals....

Most irritating is a slow driver, when you are about to pass them, they speed up, then you try to use another lane to pass and they start to race against you.

Agreed - women on cell phones while driving is the worst.

I can't stand getting the "fullhouse" on a 6 lane highway, where you get 3 morons(on your side of the highway) all perfectly aligned next to each other, and doing 48mph in a 50mph zone, preventing you or anyone for that matter, from passing at all for the next 5 miles.

Aggressive drivers in pickups and SUV's. Those are people who have no idea of their limitations, and may "learn" by taking you out with them. Scary.

I think Europeans drive around happily in their diesels thinking they saved a boat load of money... which they did. The best drivers I've ever seen come from Europe, the worst I've seen are from Vietnam/Malaysia.

true. so many drivers are OBLIVIOUS to their surroundings.

you guys notice many drive their SHOPPING CARTS in a similar manner? blocking aisles. "parking" them in obstructive ways while they pull something from a shelf further away. and on and on.

just as bad-- you're waiting to pull onto a highway/roadway. you wait for a vehicle to clear, but he turns off instead, WITHOUT signaling, or signalling in just the last 30'. if he had signaled at an appropriate distance, you wouldn't have had to wait.

hey, give the FOBs a break. they come so their kids have the advantages of being american.

i read of a Korean professor who brought his family over. unable to get re-certified to teach here, he got a job as a JANITOR. made this sacrifice just so his kids could get an american education.

i also personally know one such kid (didn't have a former prof dad) who went on to Harvard Law School. she's now quite successful practicing in Palm Springs.

There are as many lame male drivers as there are female, especially in L.A. Men in larger SUVs checking out chicks and trying to flirt and get your cell# WHILE on the freeway. Men on Harleys attempting to squeeze between vans and trucks without room to manuever between, then pounding on the vehicle closest with left or right fist. I have also seen as many men on cell phones as women, somehow the women are more irritating because they are waving their arms around while talking instead of steering.
The worst for me are drivers who are making a left turn while you're also trying to make a left turn in the opposite direction and none of these jerks use their turn signal and you sit at the light having your time wasted.
If you're female and asian chances are you are a horrible driver period!

ok, FLIP SIDE! GOOD driving practices!

1) on a 2-lane, 55-mph highway with businesses and side roads: people using the (paved) shoulders as turning lanes, so as not to slow traffic behind them while they make their turns.

2) intersections where a lot of traffic makes a right turn on red: people not turning keeping that lane clear. (idiots who don't, force those behind to wait thru a whole light change sequence).
secondarily, hugging the lane stripes and allowing people behind to SQUEEZE PAST and make their turns.

on the university-side edge of my town, i've seen increased examples of the above courtesies. (and not to brag, but i've done it myself for years. like to think others have FOLLOWED and SPREAD my example.)

im a woman driver and i have NASTY habits - if someone pisses me off i tailgate them for a minute. and i scream and honk the horn.

and i hate it when my BF detests when i use iDrive to find my way when im lost...

i also hate it when kids in their civics, chevys, hyundais and old model 1s300s rev their engines at me and they TRY to threaten me when im in ANY of our bmws (esp our 325ci and my MOM'S 330i LOL ) noone dares rev their engine at the 6 series though. they know they can't beat it!
