Any guesses on the weight distribution in this thing? It must be pretty close to 70-30 front to rear. Bad for launching, bad for breaking, bad for handling. Not a bad drag racing machine, but I'm looking for something less one-dimensional.

Plus, everyone will think you have a one-inch penis if you order that body kit...

Weight distribution should be around 52 - 48 at worst (or best as some handling purists might say). Dont forget that the iron block 4 banger along with its turbo and tubing and intercooler has been replaced by an aluminium v8 that is reknowned for its compactness. Dont let its displacement fool you.
Frankly it should be a monster.. and a handful...
Think of it like a brabus for cheap ..

Umm .. i left out a lot of details about the LS7 as i feel it can advertise itself. Plus there are some awesome sites that can explain to you why its one of the best v8's on the planet ;)
( yea yea .. displacement is large but surprisingly the engine is smaller then most 4.0L v8 by German / Japanese companies)

Weight distribution in the stock GXP is 52-48 and the curb weight is 2948lbs.

I wasn't able to find the weight of the Solstice Turbo engine, but I'm guessing it will be close to the weight of the supercharged version. If that is correct, then the LS7 swap would add 128lbs to the nose of the Solstice. The original distribution being 52-48, the original weight front and rear is 1533-1415lbs.

The new distribution would be: 1661-1415lbs, or 54-46. So, provided the turbo engine does in fact weigh roughly the same as the SC version, I was quite wrong.
