"Now this is comfort!"

that really says it all huh. I dont really know if its worth a 12K but it certainly would be a cool feature to show off with.

yes....the S and the CL have 4 different levels of massage. and for the person who actually buys the car: the driver.

I am not impressed, i think the reclining seats should have been for a long wheelbase model. The fact that the front and back seat need to share space does nothing for me. I wonder how much extra weight they added with this, if anything a hybrid should be light for best results.

this is for a long wheelbase model...

i know it sounds trite, but the people who are interested in this reclining seat arent looking for the fastest hybrid in the world.

Yeah but maybe more efficient

You don't get it: the hybrid powertrain is yet another luxury feature on a flagship sedan.

The best seat in the house of the new LS long wheelbase. This right here is the reason as to why so many comparisons have been made between the LS and Maybach, Bentley et al. Yes, we are aware that Lexus as a brand has nowhere near the cache of any of those brands, but that does not change the fact that the four-seat option on the long wheelbase is spectacular.

I do have one gripe, and that is that there's no panoramic sunroof available on the LS at all! It's available on the ES, but not the LS! I'm guessing because it would mess up the DVD screen setup, but that could have been solved by putting screens in the headrests...

LSh to maybach is a silly comparison.
maybach is about making a statement.
and the maybach actually has a massive backseat that allows for a full recline.
plus the maybach and bentley are bought to be chaufferred in. nobody is going to buy the LS for that purpose.

Don't you just love the way the centre control module in the back looks like it has been 'plonked' on the transmission tunnel?

Classy indeed....

It's a very expensive option and on one side only -- it ain't no Maybach, that's for sure!

It is definitly better to ride in a Lexus than to drive them.

Driving a Lexus is about as boring as watching paint crack.

I wish Lexus would make Sofas. I would definitly have a Lexus in my livingroom.
