2008 Saturn Vue won't be powered by Honda

Maybe Honda should put these engines in the CR-V. Man! it needs it.

Follow Toyotas lead w/ the RAV4 and get in the V6 game.

that engine was the only reason to buy the Vue.

and btw, the CRV doesn't need a V6, it's selling like crazy without it.

Why ever should GM be using the Honda engine in a GM car? Its just stupid. I cannot fathom why GM did this. Its good to see they aren't going to be using the Honda engine anymore. Its embarrassing for GM.

GM and Honda had a business agreement. GM allowed Honda/Acura to equip their cars w/ Onstar and in trade GM got Hondas awesome V6. Globalization friends. But the new Vue will take it in the dairy end with the loss of the Honda motor. Oh well. It was "OK" while it lasted. Too bad a great V6 can't slow down Saturn's steep as a mountain depreciation.

Kudos and accolades to GM. I never did like that cheap Honda engine. At least now my wife can get a proper DOHC GM engine for the small SUV she wants.

LOL:) it pathetic that GM cannot built a good engine they has to use a Honda engine. I'm glad they start using their own technology and engine instead of Honda. Let wait and see how many recall are we going to get from GM with their new GM engine.

By the way, "The king of 2006 Recall" post is on this website, GM recall almost 90+ % the vehicles they have sold in 2006. Yes, they are the king of recall for 2006. Toyota has many recall too, but compare to the number of cars they solds, it was a very little percentage.

in terms of fuel consumption and efficiency, this v6 engine by GM is not the greatest at all...

Honda makes great engines so I don't blame GM for wanting to use theirs to boost up reliability issues.

History repeats itself. Does anyone remember brand of car named Sterling? British car with Honda engine? Engine was great but unfortunately rest weren't so great..anyhow..GM can't afford to have a great engines such as by a Honda..that would completely go againest their reliability issues. Don't forget Toyota had the Cavalier in Japan just rebadged and very very minor differences.!

Quite a pathetic strategy from GM - build some reputation using the indestructible Honda engines, then use the momentum to shift some of their crap under the hood.
