Mercedes Car Group sales down 2.8%

The makers of Mercedes-Benz brand cars, Maybachs and Smart cars said today that sales at Mercedes Car Group fell 3 percent last month from a year ago. The year-to-date was 384,600, down 2.8 percent from last year’s 395,800 cars sold.

Germany sales were down 6.8 percent with 23,300 vehicles sold, while North American sales had a 1.6 percent decline. There was also a 5.5 percent drop in Europe and a 0.3 percent drop in Asia.

Mercedes Car Group sold a total of 97,800 last month.

Mercedes has done great on the high end sales lately but its main seller the aging C class has slowed down sales. Cant wait to see the new C in person.
